It’s managed equities since 1994 and derivatives since 2000. Located in Mumbai, IN, the company has also lead to an impressive number of innovations, such as being the first (and thus far only) exchange in India to trade gold ETFs and setting up the National Securities Clearing Corporation Ltd, which advanced equities and, later, derivative market trades. The NSE, along with the Bombay Stock Exchange, manages the vast majority of securities trades. Almost 2800 VSAT terminals managing trades and exchange of information electronically are located in various areas around the world, with 1500 being located in India itself.
